Geneva “Ann” Harris Obituary

Geneva “Ann” Harris, 77, of Wirt County, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.

Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Ann was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (Hickman) Copen.

Ann is survived by her loving daughter, Chris (Cecil) Griffin; her brother, Roy (Donna) Copen; brother-in-law, Duane Spencer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Cooper, Dalton (Rheanna DeHaven) Griffin, and Brianna Harris. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Sena Cooper, Aarow Cooper, Laura Morris, Jackson Harris, and Leah Harris, as well as another great-grandchild expected to arrive soon.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Harris; grandson, Brody Harris; sister, Edith Spencer; and brother, Charles “Bud” Copen.

Ann was a proud 1966 graduate of Wirt County High School. Throughout her working years, she was employed by Ames in Parkersburg, Norris Industries in Spencer, and retired from Nashaw Photo in Parkersburg.

A woman of strong faith, Ann attended both Owl Hill Church and Pine Twist. She found great joy in the outdoors and loved spending her time mowing grass, weed eating, riding four-wheelers, and horseback riding. Her hardworking spirit, love of nature, and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Per Ann’s wishes, she was cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
