Louis C. Janssen, Jr., 67, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 in Zanesville, OH. He was born February 15, 1959 in Fort Benning, GA, a son of Mary E. Carter Janssen and the late Louis C. Janssen, Sr.
Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a mechanic/heavy equipment operator. Louis spent 23 years at Waverly Volunteer Fire Dept., served as Deputy Sheriff in Fulton Co., GA and was a US Army veteran.
Left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, include his loving wife, Mary M. Montoya Janssen; daughter, Angela Stanley (Ryan) of Parkersburg; sons, Rocky Janssen of Washington State, Davey Janssen (Adriane) of Bridgeport, and Paul Janssen (Maegan) of Parkersburg; sister, Sherry Delong (Jeff) of Parkersburg; brothers, Jack Janssen and Vince Janssen both of Parkersburg; and ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waverly VFD at 15425 Emerson Ave, Waverly, WV 26184 in honor of Louis.
Funeral Services will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Full military rights will be observed. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday until time of service.
