Air Evac Transports Crash Victim from CMHS after Serious Accident

Tara Matheney, 23 years old, was traveling South on Calhoun Highway in the 8,000 block when she lost control of a Ford F250 owned by Tristan Satterfield. She traveled several feet off the highway and collided with a large tree on the property of Cleo and Shelia Burch, doing extensive damage to the truck Multi system trauma on her.

Calhoun Control dispatched the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department, Minnie Hamilton EMS as well as Law Enforcement to the scene at around 5:30 p.m. stating that the truck was on fire at the time. By the time emergency services arrived on scene, a passerby used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out. Ms. Matheney suffered very serious injuries requiring air evac to transport her to a trauma facility.

Trooper David C . Moore of the West Virginia State Police is the investigating officer. Sheriff Graham Knight and Officer Mitchell McKown were also on scene.
