Alfred Stuart Akeroyd Jr., 45, of Palestine, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 5, 2026. Born on April 25, 1981, in Abington, he was the son of Alfred Akeroyd Sr. and the late Dorothy McGowan.
Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later served as a firefighter for the Air National Guard. He was a proud veteran who deeply loved the outdoors and enjoyed off-roading in his Jeep Wrangler, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Alfred is survived by his father, Alfred Akeroyd Sr.; his stepmother, Diane Akeroyd; his two children, Caden Akeroyd and Avery Akeroyd; his sister, Elisa Haeyman and her husband Chris; his nieces and nephews, Tori Kowal, CJ Haeyman, Lucas Haeyman, Lyla Haeyman, and Slone Haeyman; his aunt, Patty Tipton; as well as his faithful companion and service dog, Scout, who remained by his side.
Per his wishes, Alfred will be cremated, and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. There will be no public services at this time.
