Benny Riggs, 83, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, in Wood County, West Virginia.
Born on April 19, 1943, in Spencer, West Virginia, Benny was the son of Jim Riggs.
Benny proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked at Jim’s Steak House in Elizabeth. He was a graduate of Spencer High School and enjoyed bowling and hunting.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 30 years, Catherine “Kathy” Butler Riggs; his brother, Jimmy Riggs (Tammy); his stepchildren, Jeff Butler (Amanda), Frank Butler (Teresa), and Crystal Leonard (Keith); his grandchildren, Zack, Courtney, Ian, Sam, and Heather; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In keeping with Benny’s wishes, he was cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
