Buddy Byrd Jr., 53, of Walker, WV, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
He was born June 2, 1973, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Carrie Frederick Byrd and the late Buddy Byrd Sr.
Buddy was a 1991 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. A mechanic by trade, he was known for his ability to fix just about anything. He enjoyed spending time fishing, admiring cars, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Buddy also held a special place in his heart for his beloved four-legged companions, Pearl, Connor, Pete, Sophie, and Dakota.
On May 8, 2004, he married Michelle Sinson Byrd, who survives him. I
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Carrie Frederick Byrd; his sister, Janine Sue Byrd; his niece, Brittany (Jeremiah), and their three children; and his nephew, Jesse (Amanda) Davis, and their four children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Byrd Sr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth, WV. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
