  1. I feel it is kind of a shame the ARPA funds were not re-allocated a year ago when I brought it to the Commissioners attention as a working board member on the Mt Zion PSD. There was equipment then that was in need of emergency repairs that I can only assume is still in disrepair. With the continued rising costs of materials and continued leakage on the system and the value of the dollar continuing to decrease, the customers will get less bang for their buck the longer you wait. You can search the archives and see my frustration regarding a large sum of Rona money sitting doing nothing for the customers. What had the PSD accomplished this year? I guess the truck is lettered, so thats cool. Wonder if the half million gallon per year leak into Philjps Run I identified has been addressed or if that pump motor is still ratchet strapped together. But no one seems to question authority and time continues to waste away. As a water guy for almost 30 years, I can tell you, the problems do not fix themselves. And the price will not get cheaper. We are half way into 2026. How many hydrants were flushed this year? Maybe some funding to purchase proper flushing equipment can be used since I flushed 100 hydrants with my personal equipment because the PSD is not equipped with the correct equipment. But what do I know.

  2. I assumed I would hear crickets after asking questions. So here are a few more maybe someone can answer. On 6/5/2026, The Mt Zion PSD had a Fakebook post saying the office was moving to Grantsville at 160 Industrial Park Road Grantsville WV 26147. I received a text from the Mt Zion PSD on Thursday saying the new office address is located at 250 Industrial Park Drive Grantsville WV 26147. Is it 160 or 250? Is it Industrial Park Road or Drive? My check has already been mailed so I assume it will be return to sender and I will be penalized a late charge because of another error from the PSD? And the ARPA funds discussion was tabled until next month which is another month wasted on a system in need of major work. Who will be weed wacking around the 100 fire hydrants this year? Maybe the PSD is more worried about people stealing water from the hydrants than them being accessible in a fire event? So many questions. So few answers.

    1. Good question (s)….crickets are par for the course there.
You can listen to them or be forced to eat them for the good of us all. Like having property disappear-going through proper channels only to get ignored. Having to pay money for formal complaint. Then having criminal produce bogus receipts that pre date the theft of merchandise.(cause they need reimbursement for confession of crime..)
Dates entered wrong on official court proceedings.
To be told—“that’s a typographical error,if we stopped for all of those nothing would get done here..”
      Shoot for the stars grantsvillains.
You are being undermined by some of your ‘ awe shucks ‘ representative positions..They don’t care if this town is shuttered and lose county seat.
      This is merely one example.
They’ll keep their seat, and some friends n then wait for their fringe benefits.maybe have some land transfer to them after someone they hate has lost it conveniently. It truly does “take a village..”
