Glenville State University’s Annual Day of Giving is February 19

GLENVILLE, WV – Glenville State University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends are preparing for the 152nd anniversary of the institution, which will be recognized throughout February. Glenville State’s Founders Day is Monday, February 19, which coincides with the annual Founders Day of Giving campaign. The giving campaign focuses on raising money for areas of need on campus such as academics, athletics, scholarships, campus improvements, and more.

“As we celebrate 152 years of Glenville State University, we anticipate that 2024 will be another record Day of Giving and we are excited to see that success! The Day of Giving not only provides us with an opportunity to support and impact students, but also allows us to recognize our supporters for all their work,” said Glenville State University President, Dr. Mark A. Manchin. “This is also a time to celebrate our past while continuing to shape the future of Glenville State University. And remember that every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.”

David Hutchison, Vice President of Advancement, notes that the Morris Family Foundation has a generous $500,000 match in place for Founders Day of Giving. Once $500,000 has been raised, the match is unlocked.

Fundraising projects are in place for each academic department and athletic team, scholarship funds, and specific projects such as theater, Alumni Center repairs, the Pioneer Pantry, eSports, and more.

The Day of Giving website – give.glenville.edu – opens on February 12.
