It truly did look like a night right out of a Hallmark from the gleeful faces to the beautiful decor around town. The Calhoun County Courthouse is lit up like a court square right out of the movies, and the businesses poured every bit of Christmas Spirit into their decorations and product sales for the evening. Merchants across the board stepped up to take part in the 2023 Christmas Parade and City wide events showing more of how Calhoun County is coming back to life.
Hundreds of children received the gift of giving through the 1982 Foundation as they traveled up to the third floor of the building to Elvira’s Department Store where gifts were laid out by department for children to shop for parents or siblings.
Cordellia’s Sweet Shoppe rivaled those of New York, and as a matter of fact, the windows even donned shelving units from Macy’s of New York!
