Leonard “Lynn” Allen Pumphrey, 51, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston.
Lynn was born in Weston on October 14, 1974, son of Terry Lynn Pumphrey and the late Glenna May Pickens Jordan.
Lynn is survived by his girlfriend, Jay Smith; father and stepmother: Terry and Sheila
Pumphrey; stepfather, Donny Jordan; grandmother, Lavon Jordan; three brothers: Terry
Pumphrey and girlfriend, Darlene, Richard Chandler and wife, Melissa, and Mickey Moore and wife, Shonda; two sisters: Sara Huffman and husband, Scott, and Stacey Black and companion, Richard; several nieces and nephews: Jordan and Isaac Gay, Faith, Terri and Donny Pumphrey, Richard and Lindsay Chandler, and Peyton Small; a very special friend,
Rusty; along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended
family and friends who will dearly miss him.
Lynn was a Lewis County High School graduate who later went on to serve his country proudly with the United States Army. He was a man who truly loved his family and friends and never hesitated to help anyone in need. His generosity and willingness to lend a hand will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Whether he was in the woods, by the water or simply enjoying nature, those were the moments that brought him peace and happiness. More than anything, Lynn treasured the time he spent with loved ones, especially his brother Terry. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, loyalty, and the memories he created with his family and friends.
Lynn’s request for Cremation has been honored at Pat Boyle Funeral Home’s On-Site Crematory. Family and friends will gather at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 p.m. in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daniel Tanner officiating.
