To the Community:
Our Town depends on a strong and prepared Volunteer Fire Department. Currently, the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department is in need of new members; people willing to train and respond as Fire Fighters to the Community and those willing to support the mission behind the scenes.
We need Volunteer Fire Fighters: Train with us, respond to calls, operate equipment, and protect the lives and property of family, friends, neighbors and community. No prior experience is required and we will provide training and certification.
Support Volunteers (Non-emergency): Help with fundraisers, community events, grant writing, equipment maintenance, administrative tasks, public eduction, social media and logistical support. These roles are essential and do not require responding to emergency calls.
Every new member strengthens response and capacity and reduces response times. Supporting volunteers serves to keep the department funded, organized and connected to the community as well as building skills. The Grantsville VFD provides mentorship and training for firefighters and all supporting roles, to make a real impact on the community.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
- Attend the Grantsville VFD meetings every Monday night at 6:00 p.m.
- Stop by the station to meet members and learn more.
- Reach out through the “Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department” Facebook page.
Even a few hours each month can make such a difference. If you care about Grantsville and the surrounding area’s safety and community spirit, please join us. We’re waiting to welcome the newest community members.
Grantsville VFD volunteers can live any where in the Grantsville and surround areas.
