She is survived by her son, Ron Cline of Mineral Wells; sister-in-law, Roberta Cline of Mineral Wells; sister-in-law Linda Cline of Parkersburg; sister-in-law Sandra Bailey of Norton, Ohio; a devoted niece JoLynn Wilson of Grantsville, WV; as well as several nieces and nephews who loved her.

Norma was a long-time member of Big Tygart United Methodist Church, Mineral Wells, WV, serving in many ways to show her dedication to her faith.
Norma was alumni of Glenville State College earning her degree in education and her master’s in education through Marshall University. She was a staunch supporter of her alma mater and often made donations to continue her support after graduation.
Norma ended her teaching career of nearly 40 years with her final tenure at Mineral Wells Elementary School. She began teaching in a one room school dating back in the early 1950’s walking (because the family didn’t own a vehicle) from her home in Milo to school. She loved teaching and would reminisce often of her adventures in those days from cutting across the hills between home and school, catching rides with neighbors to finish her journey as well as dealing with unruly schoolboys when misbehaving.
Norma’s body was failing her, but her mind always remained sharp, enjoying phone calls from her family and friends, watching Wheel of Fortune each evening and scrolling through Facebook. She always loved animals, her son Ron bringing her the occasional kitten to raise and her Box Terrier “Boots” that was her best friend. Her hobbies were many, but reading was probably her favorite, she loved to cook and try out new recipes, crafting, house plants and feeding the birds.
The family would like to thank the staff and a special caretaker,Becky at Cedar Grove Assisted Living Facility, Parkersburg, WV for her care during the last two years of her life.
As per her request, there will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held when determined by her family.
Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg is honored to serve the family.
