The Second Annual Olde World Christmas Market held Friday and Saturday, December 2-3, 2022 was once again filled with talented crafters who sold their wares in the hallways of what was once Calhoun High School. Twenty four crafter exhibited while activities a plenty surrounded the Calhoun County Community Center giving visitors the opportunity to shop and support the local market.

The Community Center continues to be on track in the application process to get official Historical Building status. This prevents construction on much of the building but will hopefully be approved soon and allow the renovations of the โ€œgrand olโ€™ galโ€ to begin soon. The current work is focused on the gymnasium and day care area which will not be apart of the historical status.

President of the 1982 Foundation, Crystal Mersh, continues to be the leading contributor to community excitement as she encourages volunteerism, business growth and development through opportunities for local citizens to be apart of a grand plan to put Calhoun County on the map as a State economic leader. Calhoun County has recently gotten the attention of State leadership who are following along to see the progress as well as offering assistance to help it happen.
