Owen Arnold, 75, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born on June 9, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, Owen was known by many as “The Carpet Man”, a trade he dedicated much of his life to.
When he wasn’t working, Owen was happiest doing the things he loved most. He could often be found fishing along the Ohio River, spending time with his beloved rabbit beagles and coon dogs through Arnolds’s Little Kennel, or simply relaxing at home watching his favorite westerns. These simple pleasures brought him great happiness and created countless memories with those who knew and loved him.
Owen will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his beagles, and the many stories and laughs he shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Paul Arnold; his granddaughter, Nevada Arnold; his grandson. Christopher Arnold; and his very dear significant other, Pat Fluharty. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Though he will be deeply missed, Owen’s memory will live on in every cast into the Ohio River, every rabbit hunt, every classic western, and in the hearts of all who loved him.
Private burial will be at Hardman Church Cemetery in Nebo, WV.
Arrangements provided by Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, WV.
