The dogwoods are almost at prime as in the blue phlox along many local roadways,  Wild vetch is in bloom as are butter cups.  The invasive autumn olive is about the flower.  The pest, brought in by the government “to help us” does have one positive as the bees are able to make lots of honey from the nectar that the plants produce.  At the recent Wirt County Farm Bureau meeting the state apiarist gave an excellent talk on bee keeping.  Now the main problem is a parasite that came from China.

The comely Kim spent Easter with her mother, Wilma Mowrey.

The Wirt County Board of Education is trying to promote a new high school since the “building is old”.  It seems that “educrats” are in it for the money and the easy way to get it is to have big building projects with fees, jobs like clerk of the works, etc.  There is a thing called maintenance that is required for all structures and buildings do not do the teaching.  Perhaps this is brought up in part to head off a move for a competing school in Wirt County.  The school board is “doing a survey”.

It was reported that there are six more planned data centers in Pennsylvania while Balico, who had plans for a big facility in Pittsylvania County Virginia  backed out over local objections.  There was to be a 3,500 megawatt power plant in that scheme.  The W. Va. Legislature was said to have passed laws to make such possible in W. Va.  Who knew that building  a data center required special laws?  Seems the big boys and the deep state kept their control over the W. Va. Legislature.  We can’t check the gas meters and there remains a mandate for vaccines that have never been tested.  Some good candidates need to be recruited to retire some in the 2026 elections.

A number of local residents participated in an Easter Parade in Parkersburg,  One tall fellow with long hair & a beard played Jesus of Nazareth & looked the part.

The wood boring bumble bees are flying about causing concern for folks who live in wood structures.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude crept up to $64.68/bbl. While condensate brought $45.68/bbl. And Marcellus & Utica light fetched $52.68/bb.
