Almost Heaven Swing BINGO returns with new fall challenge
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — With the autumn season right around the corner, the West Virginia Department of Tourism has unveiled its highly anticipated fall foliage projection map. New this year, the map will be updated weekly throughout the season, giving travelers the most accurate and up-to-date foliage information needed to plan the perfect fall trip.
In addition, the Department of Tourism has also announced a new Almost Heaven Swing BINGO Challenge specifically for the autumn season. Inspired by the beloved Almost Heaven swing photo ops, this challenge invites travelers to visit the nearly sixty locations across the state and check in on mobile devices to earn exclusive seasonal prizes.
How To Play SWINGO
Modeled after the West Virginia Waterfall Trail, visit wvtourism.com/swings and register for a digital BINGO card delivered straight to your smartphone. Those who participated in the Spring/Summer SWINGO challenge must complete a new signup to receive the Fall SWINGO card.
As travelers explore swing locations that match seasonal categories, they can check in and mark off spots on their card. This interactive adventure is made possible through a collaboration with Bandwango, a travel technology platform that makes checking in at each location quick and easy.
Participants can earn exclusive prizes by completing card milestones, just like traditional BINGO:
- Check off five spots in a row to receive a custom Almost Heaven swing sticker
- Complete a full card blackout to receive a fall-themed wooden Almost Heaven swing picture frame
Beginning mid-September, the Department of Tourism will release weekly map updates highlighting must-do adventures in the regions experiencing the best fall color each week.
