
Sgt K.M. Williams filed a complaint in the Magistrate Court of Lora Davis stating that on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, shortly before 1 a.m. Calhoun County 911 received a call from a family member who stated that she and Felicia Parsons, had gotten into a physical altercation and Felicia was refusing to go back to hertrailer which is located on the same property but a separate residence.
Upon arrival Sgt. Williams spoke to the family member who had a visible black and blue eye to the left eye and had a large
goose egg to the left orbital socket. As she walked to the residence to collect the dogs. Sgt. Williams located Felicia. Felicia started yelling at the family member, demanding a
cigarette. Felicia was then uttering words which were unintelligible and began pointing her finger at her. The family member fled toward her residence, at which time this Sgt. Williams placed Felicia into handcuffs who attempted to squirm away before the Sergeant placed the second handcuff on her, at which time she was taken to the vehicle.
Felicia Parsons was charged with Domestic Battery and Domestic Assault and taken to the WV Central Regional Jail where she awaits trial, being held on a $5,000 bond in case number 25M07M00201.
61-2-28. Domestic violence – criminal acts.
( a ) Domestic battery. — Any person who unlawfully and intentionally makes physical contact of an insulting or
provoking nature with his or her family or household member, or unlawfully and intentionally causes physical harm
to his or her family or household member, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be confined
in jail for not more than twelve months or fined not more than $500, or both fined and confined.
(b) Domestic assault. — Any person who unlawfully attempts to commit a violent injury against his or her family or
household member, or unlowfully commits an act that places his or her family or household member in reasonable
apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall
be confined in jail for not more than six months or fined not more than $100, or both fined and confined.
