Bobby Davis, age 82, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2025. Born August 18, 1943, in Cox’s Mills, Gilmer County, West Virginia, to the late Vera and Okey Davis, he lived a full and devoted life marked by humor, hard work, a love of the outdoors, and an unwavering devotion to his family.

Bobby is survived by his loving high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Janet Davis (née Wolfe), who was his steadfast partner and companion throughout life. He was a loving and devoted husband, proud to walk beside Janet through all of life’s seasons. He is also survived by his sister Alice Shalala of Ohio, sister-in-law Joyce Stephens (David) of Parkersburg, and brother-in-law Gary Wolfe (Brenda) of Glenville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fondly called “Uncle Bob”, he was cherished for his sense of humor and unwavering devotion. He was an amazing brother, and a true rock to the entire family. He was also an ornery jokester, but beneath the teasing and humor, he was loving and gentle. Above all, Bobby lived with quiet faith in the Lord, which guided his life and gave him strength.

Bobby graduated from Troy High School, Troy, West Virginia. He took great pride in being from Gilmer County and cherished his West Virginia heritage. He later used those talents to manage several Convenient Stores in Ohio, earning the admiration of colleagues and customers alike. He built a reputation for excellence and integrity in his work.

Beyond his career, Bobby loved caring for his lawn to absolute perfection. He became the go-to person for all the neighbors’ lawn care needs, always willing to lend a hand or share his expertise. He had a green thumb and raised beautiful vegetable gardens and flowerbeds. Bobby cherished time spent hunting on the family farm, sharing both camaraderie and competition with his brothers.
