Calhoun 911 dispatched both the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department and the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department out shortly after 11 p.m. to the intersection of Beech and Pink Roads. An unoccupied farmhouse owned by out of State descendants of Lester Sears was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived on scene. A propane tank close to the structure was of some concern but luckily seemed to be empty.
In an area where city water was not available, extra water supplies were brought by the two fire departments and together they worked to get the fire under control. Trooper Josh Richards was also on scene.
