
Brian Scott Jamison, 52, of Copen, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Friday, April 10, 2026 at the WVU United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born January 26, 1974 in Lorain, OH; son of the late Roger Lee Jamison and Deanna (Steele) Jamison Yost.
Brian was a laborer in the construction industry having spent much of his adult life building things. In his spare time, Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends, walking, hiking, fishing, camping, cooking out hunting mushrooms and ramp digging. He also enjoyed listening to loud Rock-N-Roll music, riding 4-wheelers, and driving fast.
Surviving is his long-term companion, Sue Keener of Copen, loving daughter, Summer Dawn Jamison of Copen, who if Brian had his way would have been named Zeppelina Osborne after some of his favorite musicians.
Also surviving are 3 siblings, Paula Mays and husband Mark of Sevierville, TN; Rodney Jamison and wife Priscilla of Nicholas Co., WV; and Billie Wilson and husband Justin of Copen, WV; nephews, Matthew Mays, John Mays (Ashley), and niece, Adalyn Wilson and great nieces and nephews, Maggie, Nolan, Jaiden, Jamison, and Lucy Mays.
Along with his parents (Roger and Deanna), Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ethel Steele and Otis and Myrtle Jamison.
Brian’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted later in 2026.
