The Calhoun County Commission would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Litter Control Officer Matthew Hall for his continued dedication to keeping Calhoun County clean and beautiful.
Through his hard work and commitment to our communities, approximately 250 bags of litter, nearly 2½ tons of trash, and 490 tires have been removed from our roadsides, waterways, and public spaces. These efforts make a visible difference in our county and help protect the natural beauty that makes Calhoun County such a special place to call home.
We would also like to recognize County Administrator Jennifer Randolph, whose efforts were instrumental in securing the grant funding that made this litter control position possible. Without her work behind the scenes, this valuable program would not exist.
If you know of an illegal dump site or an area in need of attention, please help us by reporting it. Citizens can call 304-354-0618 and select the Litter Control extension to report locations that need to be investigated.
We also encourage neighbors helping neighbors. If you have a friend, family member, elderly neighbor, or community member who has accumulated unwanted items and needs assistance, consider gathering a few volunteers and lending a hand. Sometimes a little teamwork can make a big difference in improving our communities.
Keeping Calhoun County clean is not just the responsibility of one person or one office—it takes all of us working together. Let’s continue taking pride in our county, supporting one another, and doing our part to leave Calhoun County better than we found it.
Thank you, Matthew Hall, for your outstanding service to the citizens of Calhoun County. Together, we are making a difference.
