CRESTON NEWS WEEK OF JULY 14TH

The big Creston ATV poker run will be Saturday, July 19ths with signups ending at noon.  There will be biscuits & gravy to start the day.  It is a fun road with water, mud holes [complete with frogs & salamanders] scenic views, etc.  Be sure to make certain that the winch works and that the tow strap is in the vehicle. The layout crew got to be pulled out of a hole and it wasn’t just one machine.  Also a tire kit might be nice to have, especially if one is with a group. Something over a dozen showed up on July 12 to lay out the route and they got to use chain saws & Mexican back hoes.  One fellow noted that at work he ran ‘dozer and, occasionally, the hoe and this was the first time since whenever that he had to do it the hard way so the riders could traverse the trail.  The trail crew was treated to a great meal when they finally made it back to the Community Building. It might be noted that there is a substantial amount of firewood on the trail but it might be difficult to go to the locations.

Folks who are out and about notice that there are lots of fawns. One fellow noted that a doe just stood in the road in front of him and then a fawn came up and nursed and then the twin came and nursed.  When they were done mother & the children moved out of the road.  Another fellow observed four young turkeys with mother in the Richardsonville Road.  Likely they had been down to the West Fork for a drink.

Walter Board who is in his 8th decade and now lives in Elyria spent the weekend of the Fourth of July visiting family friends.  He took in the mudding events out on Rattlesnake Knob.  He also got to visit with the current generation of folks he knew decades ago.

There will be an auction at the Creston Community Building on August 2, starting at 5 P. M.

Wilma & Kim Mowrey attended the Garrett reunion at Arnoldsburg. Kim also had a “meet up” with one of the DNR’s deer.

It was reported that the subsidies for wind & solar were removed as part of the “Big Beautiful Bill”.  These were actually clever ways to send $$ to Dictator Xi in China.

As a result of the tragic flood in Teas there is now a discussion about “geo engineering”.  Some universities teach such and it has been strongly suggested that the fire in Maui was an example as was the storm that hit western North Carolina & environs. Some believe that the 1985 flood in West Virginia was ‘man made’ as all the equipment for repairs was “staged” in Pennsylvania where, likely, the storm was supposed to hit.

Bill Gates wants all babies to be given a microchip at birth and wants vaccines to be given while still in the womb.  He is conducting experiments on folks in Kenya and India.  He was a big bud of Epstein to put matters in perspective.  Gates’ pappy was a big mogul in Planned Parenthood, the abortion provider.

More studies continue to come out showing the relationship between child vaccines and autistic children.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil rose to $67.45/bbl. With condensate fetching $49.45/bbl. While Marcellus & Utica light sold for $56.45/bbl.  Natural gas on the NYMEX continues to drop in price with talk of it going back to the $2 range which means that the price in W. Va. May drop off the chart.
