
Dustin Deweese, 27, of Spencer, WV, passed away on June 7th, 2026 at CAMC General Hospital in Charleson, West Virginia.
Dustin was born on June 4th, 1999, in Statesville, North Carolina to Tina Grogg Deweese and David Deweese.
A 2017 graduate of Roane County High School, Dustin brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His genuine kindness made it easy for him to connect with both people and animals. Dustin had a warm heart that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
When he wasn’t working, Dustin enjoyed “gardening”, connecting with nature, and spending time with his family. He shared a special bond and loved watching movies and talking politics with his older brother, Dylan. He also enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Easton. Dustin shared many late nights surrounded by people who loved him dearly and saw him as a brother.
They will always cherish the memories they made together.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother Tina Grogg Deweese (David Perrine); his father, David Deweese; his brother, Dylan Deweese (Wren Todd) of Spencer, WV; three stepbrothers, Big Dustin Perrine (Chelsie Hunt) of Spencer, WV, Dakotah Perrine (Kirsten) of Fort Hood, TX, and Shane Perrine of Michigan; one stepsister, Devon Perrine (Richard Snyder) of Teays Valley, WV; his grandmother, Helen White of Lexington, NC; and several aunts and uncles, including his Aunt Jill Metz, with whom he shared a special bond.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Easton Ramey, Casssius Barnette, Oaklynn Synder, Aiden Perrine, and Alex Perrine. Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Grogg, and his paternal grandparents, Rex and Maybn Deweese. A celebration of Dustin’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at
Bloom and Borrow Event Center, located at 218 Market St., Spencer, WV.
In honor of Dustin’s love of food and the way he brought people together, the family asks that guests bring a covered dish to share.
