Kelly Barr Appointed 911 Director

The Calhoun County Commission held a special meeting for the appointment of a new OES Director. A motion was made by Kevin Helmick to appoint Kelly Barr with a second by Commissioner Craig Arthur. In addition to her appointment was a raise in the salary for that position, which now is $39,000, a $4,000 increase from that of the prior Director’s starting salary.

Next commission meeting  has been rescheduled for June 14th, 2023 at 9 a.m.

  1. Wrong again! Julie was making $45,000 a year. We stated Kelli at $39,000. Where approximately 10 years ago we started Julie at $35,000. Please get your reporting correct! I know that’s a big task to ask.

    1. For the record Mr. Helmick, what I understood you to say was that Kelly was being paid $4,000 more than what you paid Julie Sears. The fact that you were paying $45,000 for the services you received speaks more to your county management than to my reporting. And while I have your attention, I sent a FOIA to the Calhoun County Clerk in early May that was not responded to as required by law. Which I’ll be following up on this week. As well as our investigation into why you are so set on being “personally” in control of 911. See you at the next 911 meeting.

      1. Crap is deep and I don’t have my boots on Sheri 🤩😂🤣😂😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣

    2. Why, you started stuff on the fire dept and it wasn’t true and didn’t have the backbone to apologize. With the way you all do business and waste money no wonder this county is the laughing stock of the state
