Creston News Week of June 29th

Next Saturday the nation celebrates 250 & in Elizabeth it is the fire department’s parade, ice cream social, etc and many expect to attend & participate in patriotic events.  Elsewhere there are lots of patriotic demonstrations & events to celebrate our nation’s founding.  Down in the lower Potomac swamps there is a spectacular event for those who are able to go and see, the big fair, military displays, fire works, exhibits of historic items, etc.  While most celebrate there are those who hate America, the freedoms guaranteed in the Declaration of Independence and the U. S. Constitution.  These folks hate that there is freedom to have one’s own opinion, the right to worship one’s God, the right to own property, right to protect oneself & family, etc.  These folks have made it clear that they oppose Western Civilization, the Enlightenment, Judeo=Christian values and, based on recent events down in the Old Dominion, one party pretty much is under the control of such people.

While these folks badmouth America every time they can and teach the hatred in government schools they have had a setback as the tourists who have come to America to see the World Cup have made it clear to all how great our nation is and the clean up of national monuments and the reflecting pool in the national capitol show all that our nation has a bright future ahead if wise choices are made.

Tulsa Gabbard on her last day in office released the secret files on Dr. Fauci showing that he did in fact fund the Chinese Communist Germ Warfare Lab in Wuhan where the man made virus that killed millions and crippled countless others originated. And then he “moved heaven & earth” to coverup what he and his toadies did.  There are hungry buzzards who need to be fed.

It was reported that 2.3% of babied born to mothers who took Dr. Fauci’s Vaccine are born with holes in their hearts.  Those who promoted the vaccine for children & young adults should be held liable for the damage that they have done.

A federal judge named by the Big Eared One ruled that food stamps can be used to buy candy & soda pop which explains why “the poor” in America are overweight and prone to diabetes.  Some would say that food stamps should only be used for flour, meal, rice, dried beans & powdered milk.  As Ban Franklin said, “To minimize poverty it should not be made easy”.  Some politicians have made such a lifestyle and have encouraged the world to come here and live in the hammock which, long ago, replaced the so called safety net.

Carol Lynch & family were attending to business in Elizabeth.

There was a big crowd at the Ergon catfish fry over at Marietta.  It was reported that they ran out of tasty catfish.  Several local folks were among those munching of the tasty fish [and chicken for those who don’t eat fish].

The summer Creston ATV Poker run is set for July 25.  Check out the ball joints, wheel bearings, winch and tow straps for an uneventful fun ride through scenic country.  The Creston area has been having rain and such will determine the route.

The power company is having Asplundh clear out a section on the old John C. dePue (Herman dePue) farm for new electric lines connecting to the new line on the old W. T. Petty place to the telephone facility along W. Va. 5.  All this is the first major electric upgrade locally in years.

Jack Griffin was consulting with Dr. Dan Cain.

Some years back there was a big push to put new power lines through central W. Va. To provide more power to the east coast but, at that time, power usage was flat, probably a reflection the removal of manufacturing to the Peoples’ Republic of China.  Now with the growth of data centers in northern Virginia the big power lines are back with a vengeance.  There is a proposed 260 mile long 765 KV line from the John Amos power plant in Putnam County to over where the elite live and have their data centers, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft & Google.  Now, they have a “deal for us”.  W. Va. Power company users pay for the multibillion new line and folks in Virginia get the benefits.  The PR folks said would increase the local tax base but utilities pay, perhaps 10% of what ordinary taxpayers do.  As the New York lady, Mrs. Helmsley, said some years back, “Only little people pay taxes”   A few years back a local fellow was involved in a condemnation case in Charleston and the city’s appraiser stated, “utility corridors have no value”.  The thousands of acres taken out of production will be useless to the property owners and a benefit only for folks elsewhere.  A hearing [for what it is worth] will be at the Calhoun County High School at Mt. Zion from 4 P. M. Until 7: 30 P. M. On July 22.  There will also be “hearings” in Jackson, Roane, Gilmer and other counties.  Former W. Va. State Senate president “Baldy” Blair has been working for the electric firms which include Dominion.

W. Va. Could really cash in on the AI/Data Center business by building a complex at the mouth of Katy’s Run with a gas fired power plant on site fueled by wells drilled within a few miles of the location — no big transmission lines, etc.  Most would not even know the facility was there.

A new Utica gas fired 953 MW power plant is now on line in Lordstown Ohio which formerly was the location of a big automotive factory.

There are now 1300 construction workers at the Homer City Pennsylvania site of a new gas fired power plant & data centers while there are those who are trying to stop data centers in the Keystone state.

An outfit called Food & Water Watch is said to be leading the charge and is referred to as “Big Green”.

The price of local Pennsylvania crude oil fell to $67.23/bbl. With condensate fetching just $50.23/bbl. And Marcellus & Utica light at $57.23/bbl.  Natural gas elsewhere is $3.28 and gasolene in the northern panhandle was in the $3.30 range.  West Texas crude was $69.23 and Brent (North Sea) was $72.60 now that oil is again flowing through the Straits of Hormuz.  An example of how to manipulate events for profit for someone somewhere.
